Since the home is built on [rolling hills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/las-rocas), Filipe had to come up with something unique. The house and deck unfold down the hill and look out onto a beautiful landscape. The house has [floor to ceiling glass windows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/el-pastizal) and the pool is built right into the deck. Looking at these pictures makes me wish I lived in this Deck-Centric Home! **Implications** - Many current design aesthetics incorporate a [connection to nature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kw-house), which consumers are flocking to. Designs that embrace the outdoors without forfeiting the comforts of inside are key to creating a successful product. Consumers enjoy when designs allow them to have either side of something and businesses should capitalize on this by creating dual designs such as this one. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Connection to Nature:** Designs that embrace the outdoors without forfeiting the comforts of inside are key to creating a successful product. - **Dual Designs:** Consumers enjoy when designs allow them to have either side of something and businesses should capitalize on this by creating dual designs. - **Deck-centric Homes:** Deck-centric homes offer a serene and scenic living experience, merging indoor and outdoor spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architectural Design:** Architects can leverage the trend of connection to nature and dual designs to create innovative and visually stunning structures. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate the concept of deck-centric homes to create seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces. - **Home Construction:** The construction industry can explore new methods and materials to efficiently build deck-centric homes with integrated pools. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Off-Grid Oceanside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campos-studio.md) - [Tranquil A‑Frame Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steel-a-frame.md) - [Modern Living Reports](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/future-of-living.md) - [Pencil Shaving-Inspired Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tropical-yoga-deck.md) - [Mountaintop Cantilevered Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitae-house.md) - [Stepped Hillside Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b2a-architects.md) - [Modern Highland Residential Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-andes.md) - [Modern Minimal Concrete Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/copas.md) - [Round Glass-Wrapped Lakeside House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-encoique.md)
