[Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keyboard-wrist-rest) seller KristinsCreations111 is one such person who indulges in taxidermy with great finesse and style. The work she offers is compromised of small critters re-creating scenes in taxidermy. Her ‘Friday the 13th’ duckling display captures something quite magical that is reminiscent of the beloved [slasher flick](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horrific-crocs). Her Jason Voorhees display is a great remaigaintion of the masked killer on what he would be like as a machete wielding duckling, but classic movie charaters aren’t the only offerrings she’s created. A maternal [scene between two seahorses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-sculptures) was also tossed into the mix, which will fit in perfectly for any mother’s day gift. There are people who still consider the act of taxidermy as something that should be left for the eccentrics, but then again everyone's a bit of an eccentric at some point. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Taxidermy Display Art:** Opportunity for artists and hobbyists to create unique and imaginative scenes using taxidermy animals. - **Pop Culture Taxidermy:** Innovative twist on traditional taxidermy by incorporating popular movie characters and themes. - **Sentimental Taxidermy:** Creating emotional connections and personalized gifts through taxidermy scenes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Crafts:** Artists and crafters can explore new creative possibilities with taxidermy displays. - **Pop Culture Merchandise:** Opportunity for companies to create and sell taxidermy products featuring popular movie characters. - **Gifts and Souvenirs:** Taxidermy scenes can be customized as sentimental gifts for various occasions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Creature-Inspired Home Good Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charles-jeffreys-loverboy.md) - [Human Embraced-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallmounted-sculpture.md) - [Mixed Material Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resin-dragon-egg-ornament.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Bug-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/murder-hornet-ring.md) - [Whimsical Halloween Decor Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michaels-alices-adventures-collection.md) - [Fashionable Zombie Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombaes-critter-chaos.md) - [Spooky Charming Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crown-paw.md)
