Utilizing old-fashion rugs, British sculptor Debbie Lawson works in both two and three dimensions, creating wild animals with striking detail and structure. Supported by chicken wire, and masking tape, the [Persian carpet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/erased-heritage), the animals are meant to create the illusion that the creature is combined with the hanging rug. One of her most popular works showcases a 2.5-meter tall red bear pushing out of a gorgeous red patterned rug.

Debbie Lawson, a graduate of the [Royal College of Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phytosymbiosis), recently had these pieces displayed at the academy's summer exhibition. Another one of Lawson's pieces, a Persian Moose, is permanently on display at London's Town Hall hotel.
