Utterly unique and incredibly creative, it essentially brings the fictional space station into the home. Made up of 14 pieces, it "recreate[s] the feeling of the Star Wars trench run, as seen from the inside," as noted by [Fast Co. Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aluminum-outdoor-furniture). Created by Tom Spina Designs, the Death Star-Inspired Wall Tiles was commissioned for a home theater evocative of being inside a starship. According to their website, "These would give a sense of "tech" to the decor and, while recognizable to the avid fan, they would not be an over the top, obvious themed element. The end result blends wonderfully." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Fictional Space Station-inspired Home Decor:** Opportunity for creating unique, immersive home decor items inspired by fictional space stations like the Death Star. - **Geeky Star Wars-inspired Products:** Growing market for creative and unique Star Wars-themed products that cater to passionate fans. - **Tech-inspired Interior Design:** Emerging trend of incorporating technology-inspired elements into home decor for a futuristic and modern aesthetic. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to create and market unique, geek-themed products that cater to niche fan bases. - **Entertainment Merchandise:** Opportunity for merchandise companies to expand their product range by offering creative products inspired by popular fictional space stations. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate tech-inspired elements into their designs, offering a modern and futuristic aesthetic to clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi Space Station Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maze-game.md) - [Sci-Fi Movie Scene Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-death-star-trash-compactor-diorama.md) - [Sci-Fi Large-Scale Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ucs-death-star.md) - [Sci Fi-Inspired Desk Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Sci-Fi Franchise Logo Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbuilt-star-wars-logo.md) - [Dynamic Interchangeable Wall Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abyss-wall.md) - [Space-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koalabrick.md) - [Sci-Fi Scene-Inspired Lego Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-sceneinspired-lego-set.md)
