This awesome tea accessory from ThinkGeek adds a shot of nerdiness to tea time. The Death Star Tea Infuser is made out of stainless steel and is an officially licensed [Lucasfilm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotel-collection-star-wars) collectible. The best part of the Death Star Tea Infuser has to be the small Tie Fighter at the end of the chain. (You'll remember Darth Vader was piloting a Tie Fighter at the time of the Death Star's destruction.) The second best part of this tea infuser, like the Star Trek tea before it, is that it's a functional collectible item that can be used on a daily basis. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Sci-fi Tea Accessories:** Opportunity for companies to create unique and creative tea accessories inspired by science fiction. - **Nerdy Collectibles:** Potential for developing licensed collectible items that appeal to a niche market of sci-fi enthusiasts. - **Functional Novelty Items:** Market for functional and practical items that incorporate quirky and fun elements. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchenware:** Integration of sci-fi elements into tea and coffee accessories for the kitchen. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating unique and nerdy items into home decor, catering to the tastes of sci-fi fans. - **Entertainment Merchandise:** Opportunity for licensing and creating collectible items based on popular science fiction franchises. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Grim Reaper Tea Infusers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grim-reaper.md) - [Sci Fi-Themed Popcorn Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/death-star-popcorn.md) - [Sci-Fi Film Franchise Drinkware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picard-tea-cup-set.md) - [Magnetic Three-in-One Tea Brewers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ohteavor.md) - [Sci-Fi Coffee Brews](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-coffee-brews.md) - [Smart Tea Infusers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-tea-infuser.md) - [Luxe Tea-Brewing Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affinitea-brewing-system.md) - [Relaxing Countertop Tea Brewers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-tea-maker.md) - [All-in-One Travel Tea Presses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-travel-press.md)
