# Sci-Fi Lawn Games ThinkGeek's Star Wars Death Star Game is Out of This World By Kyle Towers | Published 2013-04-04 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/death-star-game References: [thinkgeek](http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/f489/) ThinkGeek's Death Star game allows Star Wars fans to take the [Death Star Battle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbuilt-star-wars-logo) to their own backyard. The setup re-enacts the battle between the Rebels in their X-Wing Starfighters and the Death Star. The game is played by throwing [X-Wing bean bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-x-citizen-rebel-starfighter-boxed-set) at a trench modeled after one on the Death Star. As witnessed by the video, the game is quite a blast. It can be played indoors as [throwing pieces are soft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electronic-throwing-game), but can also be played outdoors because the set has a waterproof coating. This Death Star game is great for kids, adults and Jedis. Although if you are a Jedi, you are not allowed to use the force -- that would just not be fair. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sci-fi Lawn Games:** The rising popularity of sci-fi themed outdoor games offers opportunities for innovative game designs and immersive experiences. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Outdoor Games:** The growing demand for unique outdoor leisure activities creates a market for sci-fi themed lawn games. - **Toy and Game Manufacturing:** Incorporating popular sci-fi franchises into board games and outdoor games creates an opportunity for a new line of innovative toys and games. - **Entertainment and Events:** Adding sci-fi lawn games to events and entertainment venues offers a unique and engaging experience for attendees. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi Movie Scene Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-death-star-trash-compactor-diorama.md) - [Sci Fi-Inspired Desk Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego.md) - [Sci-Fi Large-Scale Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ucs-death-star.md) - [Sci Fi-Themed Popcorn Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/death-star-popcorn.md) - [Sci-Fi Spacecraft LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-spacecraft-lego-set.md) - [Sci-Fi Film-Themed Dart Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starfleet-phaser-blaster.md) - [Sci-Fi Scene-Inspired Lego Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-sceneinspired-lego-set.md) - [Sci-Fi-Branded Gamer Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secretlab-x-star-wars.md) - [Life-Inspired Board Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-game-of-death.md)
