A French startup is developing the world's first app that allows hard of hearing and deaf phone calls. Currently seeking finances through crowdfunding platform [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boneconduction-bluetooth-headset), RogerVoice does this by [transcribing telephone conversations in real time](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/read-ai) so you can read what the other person is saying.

After working on this technology for a year, RogerVoice is running a Kickstarter campaign to finally launch the Android app, and later the iOS version. A [third party transcription service](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kaption-ai) is also involved, which allows the script to be read in a dozen of different languages on your smartphone. On the other end of the deaf phone call the recipient hears a regular conversation, meaning they don't have to install the app or get another person involved.
