The camping trailer has been paired with accordion-style additions that can be expanded open at the press of a button to triple the amount of usable space that exists inside the unit. This can be further enhanced with the use of a privacy shade to create the illusion of solid walls. The De Markies camper is constructed to withstand most of the elements and is achieved using a series of durable materials. The camping trailer is expected to be at next year's Geneva Architecture Exhibition. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Accordion-style Expandable Campers:** Design expandable camping trailers that can triple the indoor living space on the go. - **Privacy Shade Solutions for Camping Trailers:** Develop privacy shade systems that create the illusion of solid walls for expandable camping trailers. - **Durable Materials for Off the Grid Camping:** Research and develop durable materials for camping trailers that can withstand most elements while off the grid. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Recreational Vehicles:** RV manufacturers can explore the demand for expandable camping trailers to enhance their product lines. - **Architecture and Design:** Architects and designers can explore innovative expandable camping trailer designs for clients who want to enjoy off the grid living. - **Outdoor and Camping Gear:** Outdoor and camping gear companies can develop privacy shade solutions, durable materials, and other camping trailer accessories to enhance the camping experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Expandable Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expandable-camping-trailer.md) - [Fully Expanding Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berg-offroad-cx3.md) - [Adaptive Outdoor Living Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karoo-adventure.md) - [Capacious Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capacious-camping-trailer.md) - [Origami-Like Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forma-campers.md) - [Duplex Camper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vanlife-camper.md) - [Capacious Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capacious-camping-trailers.md) - [Transforming Weekend Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beauer-xvan.md) - [Architectural Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skyview-camper.md)
