The accessory comes as an extension of the brand's [Killswitch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joy-lock) range and works with the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 controllers. The holder prioritizes enhanced ergonomics with a sculpted form that will fit snuggly into the hands during gameplay, while the pivot point at the top allows the left and right controller to be adjusted according to preferences. The dbrand Joy-Lock Controller Holder responds to the design of the mobile video game system's controller design that is engineered with portability rather than ergonomics in mind. The aftermarket accessory thus prioritizes comfort and modularity as a nod to adult gamers who are increasingly interested in kid-targeted gaming experiences as a means of stress relief. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 8.2/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 74% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Ergonomic Accessories:** A shift toward detachable, sculpted attachments for handheld consoles that tailor comfort and function to individual grip styles. - **Adult-focused Casual Gaming:** Growing interest from adult players in kid-oriented portable systems as tools for stress relief and relaxed social play experiences. - **Customizable Controller Modularity:** Modular pivot and attachment systems enabling configurable controller geometry and tactile surfaces to match diverse play preferences. ### Where This Applies - **Gaming Peripherals:** Peripheral makers can explore new revenue streams by producing ergonomic, brand-aligned accessories that extend console functionality and comfort. - **Consumer Electronics Accessories:** Retailers and third-party accessory designers are positioned to capitalize on aftermarket demand for tailored hardware add-ons compatible with major handheld platforms. - **Ergonomic Design Services:** Specialized design consultancies offering human-centered shaping and material expertise may find opportunities in licensing or co-developing bespoke controller solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Game-Ready Fry Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gamifries.md) - [Unique LED Gaming Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rocket-dock-led-charger.md) - [Arcade-Style Console Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-arcade-pro.md) - [Swappable Button Gamepads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pro-3-controller.md) - [Modular Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/x5-alteron.md) - [Enhanced Premium Console Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joy-lock.md) - [Electronic Gaming Accessories Lineups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-console.md) - [Ergonomic Gamer Controller Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crkd-nitro-deck-2.md) - [Premium Handheld PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rog-xbox-ally-x-killswitch.md)
