The emotional and physical health benefits of natural sunlight are undeniable, prompting light fixture companies to design products which can artificially re-create the effects of sunlight. However beneficial, most of these products glow with such strong illumination, leaving users aware of the artificial nature of its presence. The Komorebi aims to combat that issue as its subtle and mesmerizing glow helps users immersive themselves. The lamp doubles as a "stealthy projector" which can be controlled through a paired [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henri-matisse-x-casetify) app. The light fixture projects onto walls, creating impressions that depict sunlight shining through a window. Using an algorithm, the projected image is the most subtle way to fill your dingy apartment with natural-looking light. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Natural Light Simulation:** Develop new lighting fixtures that mimic the natural effects of sunlight with subtle and immersive glow. - **Mixed Reality Lamps:** Introduce a new line of lamps that double as stealthy projectors controlled via mobile apps. - **Algorithmic Lighting:** Create algorithm-based lamps that project natural-looking images, giving the illusion of sunlight shining through a window. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Décor:** Komorabi is paving the way for new advancements in the interior décor and lighting industry, particularly for natural light simulation products. - **Smart Home:** The innovative mobile app-controlled projector technology used by Komorabi offers radical capabilities for future smart home developments. - **Virtual Reality:** Mixed-reality lamps will help to integrate VR and physical environments, creating new opportunities for the gaming and entertainment industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sunlight-Mimicking Panelled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunne-lamp.md) - [Programmable Health-Focused Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bios-skyview.md) - [Biodynamic Workstation Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daylight-rhythm-task-light.md) - [Daylight-Mimicking Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brighter-floor-lamp.md) - [Smoky Illumination Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunset-lamp.md) - [Poetic Rippling Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yurameki.md) - [Window-Emulating Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/window-chronicles.md) - [Window-Imitating Smart Light Panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vindow.md) - [Circadian Bedside Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wake-lamp.md)
