Located in Japan, this house pushes the boundaries of creativity, and has managed to stream the natural ray of sunlight through the ceilings' arched skylights. Designed by Japanese architect Takeshi Hosaka, the windowless house draped in timber has four bedrooms and a huge living room. The natural light shining on the house looks so heavenly and holy as if it were a mere dream. The house is actually situated in the midst of tall dark houses in the valley, and yet it is able to capture sweet sunlight throughout the day. The single-storey house is simply perfect for a small family who wants to settle down in a cozy, naturally illuminated house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Natural Light Homes:** Designing homes to maximize the use of natural light through innovative skylights and windows. - **Windowless Houses:** Constructing homes without traditional windows through the use of alternative lighting techniques. - **Timber Houses:** Utilizing timber as a primary material in the construction of houses for its aesthetic and environmental benefits. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Creating homes with innovative and sustainable design features that take advantage of natural light and alternative materials. - **Real Estate:** Marketing homes with unique design features and environmentally-friendly materials to appeal to eco-conscious buyers. - **Lighting:** Manufacturing and developing lighting products and technologies to provide natural light in windowless homes and buildings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Natural Light-Centric Timber Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huron-house.md) - [Halo-Like Skylight Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halo-house.md) - [Environmentally Blending Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ineffable-light.md) - [Wall-to-Wall Skylight Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/datum-house.md) - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Structural Lightwell Mexican Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hw-studio-1.md) - [Memory-Engrained Airy Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-lightness.md) - [Hilltop Modern Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cloud-house.md) - [Traditional Japan-Honoring Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c4l-house.md)
