The trees boast impeccable detailing and are specified to the species 'Washingtonia Robusta,' which are common in California. Actual palm trees of this species reach 35m in height, making leaves of these trees inaccessible to humans. What David Zink Yi hopes to accomplish through this exhibit is the actual experience of Washingtonia Robusta, which he achieves with a cool urban twist. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Metallic Botanicals:** Artificial trees made from metal materials are replacing traditional greenery in public spaces and exhibition centers. - **Industrial Eclecticism:** Aesthetic styles that merge natural and industrial themes are becoming increasingly popular in the arts and design world. - **Virtual Nature:** Advancements in virtual and augmented reality technology are allowing people to experience nature in a completely new way. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art & Design:** There is room for innovation in the art and design industry by exploring the intersection of natural themes and industrial materials in diverse mediums. - **Real Estate & Property Development:** Developers can explore the use of metallic botanicals in public spaces such as plazas, parks, and intersections as an alternative to live trees that require maintenance and upkeep. - **Technology & Entertainment:** The integration of virtual and augmented reality into public parks and gatherings can offer unique and interactive experiences that simulate being in nature. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Inspired Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humannature-1.md) - [Air-Purifying Tree Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treeone.md) - [Resin Gravity Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Pixelated Photographed Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/southern-trees.md) - [Climate-Controlled Chamber Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spruce-time.md) - [Mangrove Forest-Inspired Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/once-upon-a-forest.md) - [Outdoor Floral Sculpture Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptures-at-kew-gardens.md) - [Material-Accented Dreamscape Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamscape-exhibit.md)
