Johnson explains his method for these photos on his site: “Each shot was about a second long, sometimes two. I’d start out of focus, and when I heard the explosion I would quickly refocus, so the little stems on these deep sea creature lookalikes would grow into a fine point.” As the photos look like brilliantly lit-up puffer fish, it’s easy to see what he means when he references deep sea creatures. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Long Exposure Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunities may include developing new techniques and equipment to capture stunning long exposure photos in various settings. - **Fireworks Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunities may involve creating advanced camera settings or filters specifically designed for capturing fireworks in vivid detail. - **Light Art Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunities may lie in exploring unconventional ways to manipulate light and create unique visual effects in photography. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Photography:** The photography industry can benefit from disruptive innovations in long exposure techniques and specialized equipment for capturing mesmerizing images. - **Events and Entertainment:** The events and entertainment industry can explore disruptive innovations in offering enhanced visual experiences through specialized photography techniques like fireworks photography. - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can leverage disruptive innovations in lighting effects and creative photography techniques to create captivating visual artwork. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Blurry Abstract Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-allusion.md) - [Interactive Colorful Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/david-hockney-bigger-closer.md) - [Immersive Light Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spencer-finch.md) - [Concept-Driven Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ivan-toth-depea.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Stunningly Intricate Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Immersive Space Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-the-light.md)
