# Multitasking Silicone Scoopers The Dash Measuring Spoon Gauges a Different Quantity on Every Side By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-12-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dash-measuring-spoon References: [cb2](http://www.cb2.com/dash-4-in-1-measuring-spoon/s593208) If you're looking at the Dash Measuring Spoon as it rests on the counter, you're probably only going to be able to discern a single indentation. It might seem as though this unusually shaped scooper can only dish out one designated quantity of this or that, but it's been designed to accommodate four serving sizes. Jordan Murphy's creation for Umbra and CB2 will help you to keep your kitchen uncluttered. Instead of requiring [four separate scoopers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evolving-spoon) to quantify one tablespoon, one teaspoon, a 1/2 teaspoon and a 1/4 teaspoon, this 4-in-1 implement does it all. The Dash Measuring Spoon has one depression into each of its sides for this range of volumes. It's also easy to clean and dishwasher safe. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Multi-purpose Scoopers:** Opportunity for companies to create kitchen tools that serve multiple purposes and save space. - **Innovative Measuring Devices:** Opportunity for companies to design unique measuring spoons that streamline cooking processes. - **Simplified Kitchen Gadgets:** Opportunity for businesses to create simplified and easy-to-use tools for cooking enthusiasts. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchenware Industry:** Companies in the kitchenware industry can create innovative gadgets to improve the cooking experience. - **Home Goods Industry:** Home goods companies can design multi-functional kitchen tools to appeal to consumers looking to declutter their homes. - **Design Industry:** Design firms and individual designers can create visually appealing and functional kitchen gadgets that are easy to use. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Single-Piece Silicone Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boi-measuring-cup.md) - [Self-Cleaning Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamfarms.md) - [Multi-Functional Pasta Spoons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pasta-spoon.md) - [Ice Cream Sandwich Scoops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ice-cream-sandwich-scoop.md) - [Instant Noodle-Inspired Measuring Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissin-measuring-cup.md) - [Versatile Kitchen Multi-Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-multitools.md) - [Mess-Avoiding Dipping Dishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dipidup.md) - [Streamlined Meal Prep Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prepdeck-by-dash.md) - [Eight-in-One Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchyhub.md)
