It takes on the form of the classic 'Star Wars' weapon. Children will sleep better at night knowing that if any creatures do creep into their room uninvited, they will have something with which to fight them off. Available online at [Barnes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-barnes-black-micarta-damasteel-knife) and [Nobel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nobel-center), the Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light simply mounts on the wall to work and comes with an educational guide. It emits a soft red glow that is reminiscent of the Lord Sith's apprentice's actual lightsaber. It is yet another ['Star Wars' product](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray) that celebrates the re-release of The Phantom Menace in 3D. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nightlight Innovation:** The Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light offers a unique twist on traditional nightlights, providing children with a sense of empowerment and protection. - **Character-based Merchandising:** The popularity of 'Star Wars' characters and merchandise continues to inspire creative product adaptations like the Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light. - **Educational Lighting:** The inclusion of an educational guide with the Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light taps into the growing trend of combining entertainment and learning in children's products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Children's Lighting:** The Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light is an example of how lighting products can be designed specifically for children, incorporating fun characters and themes. - **Entertainment Merchandise:** The success of character-driven merchandise, such as the Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light, reveals the lucrative potential of partnerships between entertainment franchises and product manufacturers. - **Children's Education:** The educational guide included with the Darth Maul Lightsaber Room Light demonstrates how the lighting industry can contribute to children's learning and development. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Astronaut Night Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors.md) - [Motion-Activated Sci-Fi Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hasbro-2.md) - [LED-Powered Laser Swords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-series-obiwan-kenobi-force-fx-elite-lightsaber.md) - [Novel-Inspired Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-prince-night-lamp.md) - [Spaced-Themed LED Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-room.md) - [Rechargeable Multicolored Dinosaur Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/globe-electric.md) - [Heroic Bedtime Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bedtime-defenderz.md) - [Soothing Speaker-Equipped Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lullaby-talk.md) - [Color-Matching Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angelcare-magical-dreams-lumicolor-bear.md)
