# Open-Ceiling Showers Daniele Bedini's Virgin Shower Series is Making a Splash By Olivia123 | Published 2011-05-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daniele-bedinis-virgin-shower References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/005196.html#more) & [zazzeri.it](http://www.zazzeri.it/inglese/homeinglese.html) If I had a shower head like this, my monthly water bill would be astronomical. Daniele Bedini's Virgin shower head series is wonderfully waterful. Bedini's showers are designed so that the [water flow emerges from directly above](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfall-shower) the user and falls vertically, instead of traditional diagonal-spraying heads. This makes showering with a Virgin shower head almost like bathing beneath a waterfall. The unique thing about this hydrating head is that is doesn't even *look* like a shower head. The flat mountable piece attaches to your ceiling and resembles an opening or crack in the ceiling. This opening contains [colored lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-light-showerhead-filter) to make your latherlicious experience a luminous one. Daniele Bedini's Virgin shower series is drenched in divine design and is definitely making a splash in the [bathroom design world](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Vertical Water Flow:** Designing showers with water flow emerging from directly above the user and falling vertically, creating a unique bathing experience. - **Disguised Shower Heads:** Creating shower heads that do not look like traditional shower heads, blending seamlessly into the environment. - **Luminous Shower Experience:** Incorporating colored lights into shower designs to enhance the bathing experience with a luminous touch. ### Where This Applies - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Opportunity to design and manufacture shower heads with vertical water flow, providing a refreshing and unique bathing experience. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating disguised shower heads into bathroom designs to create a seamless and aesthetically pleasing environment. - **Smart Home:** Integrating shower heads with colored lights into smart home systems, allowing for customizable and immersive shower experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fully Integrated Smart Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-shower-head.md) - [Air-Induction Showerheads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kohlers-statement-ves.md) - [Modern Square-Shaped Showerhead Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerhead-designs.md) - [Triple-Aerator Outdoor Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ffqt-outdoor-shower.md) - [Sharp Ultra-Slender Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-tubo.md) - [Sleek Self-Pleasure Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/womanizer-wave.md) - [Two-in-One Spa-Like Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delta-faucet-hydrorain.md) - [Modular Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zucchetti-bar-59-shower.md) - [Hygiene-Focused Shower Head Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerclear.md)
