# Footloose Father Blogs The Dancing Dads Tumblr Page Captures Your Rhythmless Relatives By Regan Canie | Published 2011-09-19 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dancing-dads-tumblr References: [gadgetnewsupdate](http://www.gadgetnewsupdate.com/10-entertaining-tumblr-blogs-about-your-parents-on-gadget-news-update/) & [dancingdads.tumblr](http://dancingdads.tumblr.com/) There's just something about a middle aged man busting a move, like those featured on the Dancing Dads [Tumblr](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumblr-campaign), that causes inner conflict. It's so humiliating (yet so hilarious) that only a public collection of fancy footwork videos can do it justice. Blogs about embarrassing things your parents do may seem overdone, but as soon as you watch the first display of [dads dancing in sweater-vests and slacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dad-hoodies) you won't be able to resist scrolling through the entire site. From a father breaking it down with beer-fueled enthusiasm, to a background prancing parent with Bieber Fever, this collection of shimmying semi-seniors is one that will suck you in completely. If you know someone at home that could land a sashaying solo on the Dancing Dads Tumblr page, grab a camera to contribute to this [viral video-blog](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/absurd-content). Who knows, you might even want to consider parental emancipation for embarrassment-prevention purposes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Viral](https://www.trendhunter.com/viral) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Embarrassing Parent Blogs:** Opportunity for businesses to create platforms or apps that allow children to share embarrassing videos or stories about their parents. - **Viral Video-blogs:** Businesses can explore the creation of platforms or services that curate and share viral videos, capturing the attention of a wide audience. - **Humorous Family Content:** Opportunity for businesses to create and promote comedic content centered around family dynamics and relatable scenarios. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Social Media:** Disruptive innovation can occur in the field of social media by developing platforms dedicated to sharing embarrassing family videos and stories. - **Entertainment:** Businesses in the entertainment industry can tap into the demand for humorous family-focused content, such as creating TV shows or web series. - **Digital Content Creation:** There is a market for businesses to offer services or tools for individuals to create and share their own humorous family content, such as creating funny videos or memes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Dance Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dance-it.md) - [Dad Jokes Party Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laughing-at-dad-jokes.md) - [Rewarding Dance Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desperados-dance-club.md) - [Custom Rap Songs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paparap.md) - [Family Info Managers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dadapp.md) - [Pizza-Branded Dad Promotions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/za-for-pa-fathers-day-gift-shop.md) - [Simple Joke Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dad-jokes1.md) - [Footwear-Based Father’s Day Giveaways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/good-dude-giveaway.md) - [Extravagant Dad-Inspired Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-balances-tech-explosion.md)
