The Daisy Ranch is a residential project by Olson Kundig located on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia. Designed for a builder client, the home combines traditional log construction with large expanses of glass that open toward the surrounding forest and coastline. Locally sourced timber forms the primary structure, while steel elements support the heavier log framework. The house is positioned within a rocky clearing, allowing it to sit low within the terrain while maintaining direct views of the landscape.

Interior spaces use exposed wood, concrete flooring, and steel detailing to balance the weight of the log construction. Large openings connect the main living areas to outdoor terraces that follow the contours of the site. The layout extends circulation beyond the enclosed footprint while maintaining a direct relationship with the surrounding environment.
