The dining table is characterized by its [shining metallic construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/through-chrome-reflections) that almost maintains an inflated form as a throwback to the work of Jeff Koons. The furniture piece is imagined in a highly polished mirrored finish and a dark polished option to give it different kinds of appearances, depending on the preference of the person. The D12 dining table maintains an [ultra-minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-table-designs) that would fit in well with modern spaces or act as a standalone piece in a home. The dining table, despite being quite artistic, is still very functional to accommodate everyday life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Artwork-inspired Furniture:** Designing furniture inspired by art can create unique and eye-catching pieces that appeal to modern, design-conscious consumers. - **Minimalist Design:** Creating furniture with a minimalist design that still maintains functionality can cater to the growing trend of people simplifying their living space. - **Reflective Finishes:** Using highly polished mirrored finishes can create a luxurious and modern look that appeals to consumers looking for unique and contemporary furniture. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Industry:** Innovation in the furniture industry can lead to highly sought-after designs that can revamp home decor. - **Home Design Industry:** Developments in home design and decor, including artwork-inspired furniture, can influence the way people decorate their homes. - **Luxury Furniture Industry:** The demand for high-end furniture with reflective and mirrored finishes offers opportunities for luxury furniture companies to create unique, high-priced pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Juxtaposing Material Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compression-dining-table.md) - [Dynamic Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Effortless Glass Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbital.md) - [Ultra-Colorful Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/never-stop-moving.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md) - [Stacked Wood Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plane-dining-table.md)
