# Boney Skater Parks The D Face Skull Skate Pool are Seriously Awesome By Robyn Currie | Published 2009-12-23 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d-face-skull-skate-pools References: [cakeheadlovesevil](http://cakeheadlovesevil.wordpress.com/2009/12/22/dface-skull-skate-pools/) & [environmentalgraffiti](http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/featured/dface-skate-pool-thousand-skulls/18383) Have you ever wanted to skateboard in an abandoned swimming pool? Me neither. Have you ever wanted to skateboard in an abandoned swimming pool that is the D*Face skull skate pools? Me too! Evidently this bad ass graffiti artist turned the entire working area of this pool into a boarder haven with skulls. The abandoned pool is covered in wicked hot skulls that scream “I have my Ph. D. in badassery!” Basically, all that I ask of the D*Face skull skate pools is to come to where I live and make one for me. Thanks. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Abandoned Skate Parks:** Repurposing abandoned spaces into skateboard parks with unique designs. - **Art-inspired Skate Park Design:** Using art and graffiti-style designs to create unique skate park features. - **Skate Park Tourism:** Developing travel destinations centered around unique and artistic skate parks. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Skateboard Manufacturing:** Partnering with artists and designers to create unique boards that match the aesthetic of art-inspired skate parks. - **Tourism:** Developing packages and promotions for skateboarding enthusiasts to visit different skate parks around the world. - **Public Spaces:** Investing in repurposing abandoned public spaces into unique, art-inspired skate parks that draw in a diverse and passionate community. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Urban Skate Venues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aan-architects.md) - [Skateable Pyramid Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playlab.md) - [Dynamic Skateable Architecture Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vans-west-end.md) - [Record-Breaking Skate Megaramps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-bulls-building-drop.md) - [Pop Art Skateboard Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-skateroom-1.md) - [Skateboard-Themed Photography Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rabbit-hole-1.md) - [Skateboard Design Museum Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skateboard-exhibition.md) - [Sneaker-Shaped Swimming Pools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sneakerpool.md) - [Psychedelic Skateboard Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-psychedelia.md)
