To make the most of this feature for as long as possible, the socks are designed with four-way stretch to prevent cracking so that the reflective feature is able to last about 20 washes. The socks are made from a blend of merino wool, nylon, polyester and Lycra fibers, with more reinforcements on the heel and toe for greater wear. For air flow, the socks adopt an open-knit pattern to counter the areas where sweat tends to accumulate most.
