A San Francisco-based startup recently launched a [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illuminated-cycling-helmet) campaign to produce a line of customizable LED strips that users can add to their shoes. Designed to fit any pair of kicks, 'BLINKY.SHOES' allow you to create vibrant and luminous patterns with your feet.

BLINKY.SHOES are essentially a series of LED strips that attach to your shoes with [Velcro](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-fries-backpack). The strips are customizable and can be cut down to fit any shoe's size. The strips are powered by rechargeable batteries, which allow them to illuminate in response to your body movements. You can let the lights rotate through the various colors or you can use the company's open-source code to reprogram them and create your own luminous patterns.

The customizable LED strips are an excellent accessory for dancers and entertainers interested in adding a little bit of spark to their performances.
