# Internal Organ Decanters Curoe Carafes by Liviana Osti Attempt to Save You From a Coronary By Susan Keefe | Published 2011-10-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curoe-carafes References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/43563/) & [livianaosti](http://www.livianaosti.com/index.php?/prodotto/cuore/) Strike a balance with the Curoe Carafes by Liviana Osti. The [two component decanter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whiskey-decanters) is meant to inspire the adoption of moderation. Comprised of two detachable carafes it was created with the intention that one section would hold water while the other held a reasonable amount of red wine. This ingeniously quirky [piece of glassware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domain-glass) attempts to raise the issue of heart health without being over-bearing. Designed with the natural appearance of a healthy human heart in mind, the two pieces separate according to the natural division of ventricles. Liviana Osti hopes to cut through the noise and address cardiovascular health where the majority of good and bad choices are made: the dinner table. Hoping to reach the heart of the matter and pump up some heartfelt interest in the subject, Osti has created the Curoe Carafes to be so beautiful that even self-deluding lushes will be seduced by its [curvaceous lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juno-collection) and meticulously craftsmanship. Hoping to reach people at the source, Liviana Osti takes the time to create a proverbial heart-to-heart with vino aficionados. Whether the message of the Curoe Carafes will sink in remains to be seen. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Heart Health Awareness:** The trend encourages innovation opportunities for products that address cardiovascular health, not only as a medical issue but also in everyday activities, such as dinner parties or restaurants. - **Moderation Promotion:** This trend creates a market for products that inspire, and encourage moderation, not by denying indulgences, but by offering creative solutions that balance health with pleasure. - **Design and Health Integration:** A trend toward the integration of design and human health may create a niche for wellness products intended to improve physical health, including glassware that promotes healthy portion sizes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Tableware:** Glassware, plates, and cutlery companies can promote moderation, health and wellbeing by creating tableware products that are aesthetically pleasing and evoke the image of a healthy heart. - **Health and Wellness:** The Health and Wellness industry could create drinkware products that inspire moderation and healthy lifestyles, marketed to alcoholic beverages consumers. - **Design:** The combining of design and health in products could create a new industry for innovation opportunities in healthcare tech, smart home, and retail. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Saving Wine Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-splitglass.md) - [Ceramic Waste Carafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sungai-carafe.md) - [Sculptural Whisky Decanters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistry-in-oak.md) - [Water Filtering Pitcher Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/osoi.md) - [Minimalist Glassware Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-glassware.md) - [Fermentation Countertop Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keep.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Drinkware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heart-doublewall-latte-mugs.md) - [Conceptual Craft Beer Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sour-glass.md) - [Captivating Tonal Drinking Glassware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/podio-cup.md)
