Pyramid-shaped crystals are illuminated with geometric animations via an imbedded LCD screen and activated by inbuilt programmed software. The [crystal-decked screen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-links) is housed in a slimline stainless steel frame. The animated patterns are precisely mapped to the vertices of each crystal so they can be illuminated individually or in formation, so arrays of ever-changing images are created. The animations are further refracted according to the shifting perspective of the observer, which in turn alters the way the patterns appear. As the illuminations also interact with reflections of surrounding light, the overall effect is both intriguing and mesmerising. A rising talent in cutting-edge technological art and design, Kit Webster is gaining wide recognition for his [audiovisual installations and digital sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Digital Video Sculptures:** The creation of digital video sculptures opens up opportunities for immersive and interactive art experiences. - **Geometric Animations:** Utilizing geometric animations in art installations provides a unique visual experience that captivates viewers. - **Mixed-media Art:** The fusion of different artistic mediums, such as video and sculpture, creates innovative and visually captivating artworks. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art Installations:** The art installation industry can explore incorporating digital video sculptures to enhance interactive experiences for visitors. - **Audiovisual Technology:** The audiovisual technology industry can innovate by developing more advanced tools and software to create and display geometric animations. - **Design and Sculpture:** The design and sculpture industry can embrace the use of mixed-media art and experiment with new materials and techniques. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mesmerizing Sand Pattern Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-sandsara.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Interactive Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-kinetic-sculptures.md) - [Math-Driven Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alba-light.md) - [Immersive Crystal Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-crystal-installation.md) - [Gem-Like Sculptural Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cylindrical-lenses.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Dynamic Mathematically Shaped Surfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mathematically-shaped.md) - [Interactive Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/helix.md)
