Libeskind crafted this delicate chandelier using the artful technique of glass-blowing. The Ice chandelier is made entirely from glass, creating an [intricate design piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light). Libeskind shaped each of the chandelier's individual light cells to look like blocks of ice. No two cells are alike, and each has a drastically different geometric look. As a unit, the chandelier looks like shattered pieces of ice. The clarity of this chandelier gives off a subtle and soft haze of light that would pair well in any room with any design decor -- no matter the color scheme. This light fixture is unlike any other crystal chandeliers on the market. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geometric Crystal Chandeliers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create crystal chandeliers with geometric shapes, offering a unique and modern twist on traditional designs. - **Artful Glass-blowing Techniques:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new glass-blowing techniques to create intricate and delicate chandeliers that push the boundaries of design. - **Customizable Light Cells:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce crystal chandeliers with customizable light cells, allowing customers to personalize the geometric look of the chandelier. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate geometric crystal chandeliers into the lighting industry, offering a contemporary alternative to traditional chandelier designs. - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Merge art and design by exploring the possibilities of glass-blowing techniques in the creation of unique and visually striking chandeliers. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Enhance the home decor industry with customizable crystal chandeliers that allow individuals to express their unique style and create focal points in their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifaceted Glass Crystal Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-light-fixtures.md) - [Maximalist Chandelier Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baccarat-x-harry-nuriev.md) - [Jewel-Inspired Chandelier Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pearl-chandelier.md) - [Metal-Glass Intuitive Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salsa-chandelier.md) - [Plant-Inspired Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-chandelier.md) - [Sculptural Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tamar-grande-chandelier.md) - [Dynamic Artful Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-chandelier.md) - [Matte White Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2097-chandelier.md) - [Sculptural Contemporary Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volant.md)
