Its stone-like appearance contrasts against rich exposed wood, giving the decks a subtle and modern appearance while still offering a playful pop of color. Despite the modern patterns that adorn the products, the cruiser boards simultaneously feature a [retro design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tropical-yoga-deck) that's "inspired by the original skateboards from the ’70s in terms of shape." Tom Wilhelm's cruiser boards are made to order and ship worldwide from his location. Decks can be customized with a variety of different woods available such as walnut, cherry tree, palisander and kirschbaum. Paint colors are numerous as well and Tom Wilhelm welcomes further personalizations upon request. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Handmade Artistic Products:** There is an opportunity to disrupt the market by creating unique, handcrafted products with artistic designs. - **Marbleized Finishes:** Introducing marbleized finishes in various industries can add a touch of elegance and modernity to traditional products. - **Customization and Personalization:** Providing options for customization and personalization allows businesses to cater to individual preferences and increase customer satisfaction. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Skateboard Manufacturing:** Incorporating marble-painted finishes in skateboard manufacturing can create visually stunning and unique products. - **Furniture Design:** Applying marbleized finishes in furniture design can elevate the aesthetic appeal and create visually captivating pieces. - **Home Decor:** Offering customization options for home decor products allows consumers to create personalized spaces that align with their preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artist-Collaborated Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impala-hera-cruiser.md) - [Lounge Chair-Inspired Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eames-lounge-cruiser.md) - [Co-Branded Furniture Skateboard Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eames-office-x-globe-boards-collection.md) - [Artful Skateboard Deck Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kraftwerk-collection.md) - [Psychedelic Skateboard Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-psychedelia.md) - [Blue Silkscreen Skateboard Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kai-and-sunny-1.md) - [Luxe Fashion House Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fendi-skateboard.md) - [Minimalist Artful Chessboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tarek-elkassouf.md) - [Pop Art Skateboard Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-skateroom-1.md)
