# Fast Food Hybrid Pies Pizza Hut's Crown Crust Carnival Pizza Boast Cheeseburgers & Chicken By Kevin Young | Published 2012-04-29 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crown-crust-carnival References: [laughingsquid](http://laughingsquid.com/crown-crust-pizzas-feature-cheeseburger-chicken-fillet-gems/) & [pizzahut](http://www.pizzahut.com/) The Crown Crust Carnival pizzas by [Pizza Hut](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-hut-cheeseburger-pizza) is a cheesy all-in-one combination of different foods. The original pizza used to be comprised of only cheese, sauce and toppings and if there was something spectacular, it was the creamy garlic sauce or thin crust option. This pizza brand is now offering two new specials, the cheeseburger and chicken fillet pizzas. Embellished with dripping cheddar cheese sauce, the [cheeseburger pizza](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toppers-cheeseburger-pizza) looks like an odd combination but I’d still give it a try. It’s the first of its kind and the chicken fillet pizza is made with a mixture of sauces that look overwhelming yet oddly appealing. The crust is baked with an interesting shape that resembles a crown, hence the name. The Crown Crust Carnival pizzas is another food concept that will likely appear more regularly on dinner tables in north America. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hybrid Fast Food Pizzas:** Pizza Hut's Crown Crust Carnival pizzas offer unique combinations of different foods, creating a disruptive innovation opportunity in the fast food industry. - **Diverse Pizza Toppings:** The introduction of cheeseburger and chicken fillet pizzas by Pizza Hut presents an opportunity for innovation in pizza toppings, expanding the possibilities for flavor combinations. - **Creative Pizza Crusts:** The crown-shaped crust of Pizza Hut's Crown Crust Carnival pizzas opens up opportunities to reimagine traditional pizza crusts and create visually appealing and unique dining experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fast Food Industry:** The introduction of hybrid fast food pizzas by Pizza Hut presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the fast food industry, allowing for the creation of unique and exciting menu items. - **Pizza Delivery Services:** The diverse toppings and unique crusts of Pizza Hut's Crown Crust Carnival pizzas could inspire innovations in pizza delivery services, providing customers with a wider range of options and experiences. - **Casual Dining Restaurants:** Casual dining restaurants can seize the disruptive innovation opportunity presented by Pizza Hut's Crown Crust Carnival pizzas by incorporating unique pizza concepts into their menus, attracting customers seeking novel dining experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hybrid Burger-Inspired Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-hut-cheeseburger-pizza.md) - [Fried Chicken Burger Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fried-chicken-burger-pizza.md) - [Hybrid Burger-Topped Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burger-joint-pizza.md) - [Chicken Schnitzel Pizza Crusts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/schnitzza.md) - [Heavily-Topped Burger Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hunt-brothers-pizza-cheeseburger-pizza.md) - [Seasoned Rice-Filled Calzones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birizza.md) - [Melty Meaty Pizzeria Burgers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-hut-japan-burgers.md) - [Pizza-Inspired Fried Chicken](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kfc-chizza.md) - [Hearty Fried Chicken Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-hut-crispy-chicken-pizzas.md)
