Since there are people who go to coffee shops with the intention of working and only lay down enough money for a single beverage, Croissant aims to make it easier for businesses to profit from mobile workers. With the use of beacon technology, customers are able to automatically check in to a location upon arrival. Once a spot has been claimed, a customer can expect to pay based on the time spent at the venue, using funds taken straight from a credit card. From the Croissant app, it's also possible to make food and drink orders, which also compensates the business. Businesses are able to see a real-time map of users in-house, so that renting out space temporarily can become extremely profitable.
