The slow cooker is [WeMo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wemo-smart-dimmer)-enabled, letting consumers manage their dishes remotely through the use of a smartphone app. As with any slow cooker, the Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker lets consumers program cook settings like time and temperature. However, thanks to its WeMo connection, the Crock-Pot becomes a smart home device. If one gets caught out at the office or stuck in traffic, they can go into the mobile app and change those settings remotely, ensuring a perfectly cooked meal regardless of extenuating circumstances. WeMo also allows for compatibility with other smart home management systems, so users can incorporate the Smart Slow Cooker into their command sequences. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Smart Kitchen Appliances:** The Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker exemplifies the trend of internet-enabled kitchen appliances, offering convenience and remote control capabilities. - **Remote Cooking Management:** The WeMo-enabled feature of the Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker allows users to manage their cooking settings remotely, providing a disruptive innovation opportunity in the cooking industry. - **Integration of Smart Home Systems:** The WeMo compatibility of the Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker allows for seamless integration with other smart home management systems, opening up possibilities for collaboration and innovation. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchen Appliance:** The Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker represents a disruptive innovation in the kitchen appliance industry, bringing together traditional slow cooking with smart technology. - **Connected Home:** The WeMo-enabled features of the Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker contribute to the connected home industry, offering convenience and control in the kitchen. - **Smart Home Automation:** The integration capabilities of the Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker make it a viable option for the smart home automation industry, aligning with the trend of interconnected devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digitized Countertop Slow Cookers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchenaid-6quart-slow-cooker.md) - [Campsite-Ready Slow Cookers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-slow-cooker.md) - [All-in-One Smart Multi-Cookers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-multicookers.md) - [Connected Voice Assistant Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-kettle.md) - [Dual-Compartment Multicookers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crockpot-multimeal-multicooker.md) - [Temperature-Tracking Smart Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuwave-todd-english-iq360.md) - [Connected Meal Preparation Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-food-processor.md) - [Connected Kitchen Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/govee-smart-electric-gooseneck-kettle.md) - [Elegant Slow Cooker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sixquart-slow-cooker.md)
