I adore the work of Australian Louise Weaver, and in particular, the all-red piece entitled ‘Taking a Chance on Love’. Her radical [animal crochet sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lulu-the-lamb) even won her the Cicely and Colin Rigg Contemporary Design Award of $30,000.

These pieces are perilously close to kitsch but manage to pull it off with a more [high fashion feel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dtcable-collection). The [colour and texture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olga-de-amaral) of her works are amazing due to her special technique: she buys and pulls apart Issey Miyake for her sculptures.
