Cricket is a [social sharing gadget](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travelshare) that lets you suggest and share places to visit around the world. The Cricket travel guide is a [wrist-worn device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wati) that works via vibration. When you are near a suggested location the device will vibrate. You can then use the Cricket compass to help guide you in the right direction. Locations or "Paths" can be uploaded and shared online for free or for a fee. You can also customize the types of updates you want to receive by setting filters. Discovering a new city can be difficult without good suggestions and even better directions. The Cricket travel guide would bring both the suggestions and the directions, adding a new and social dimension to travel. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Wrist-worn Devices:** The Cricket travel guide introduces the trend of wearable technology for travel purposes. - **Social Sharing Gadgets:** The Cricket travel guide taps into the trend of social media and sharing experiences while traveling. - **Customized Travel Experiences:** The Cricket travel guide highlights the trend of personalized travel recommendations and tailored experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Travel and Tourism:** The travel and tourism industry can incorporate the Cricket travel guide to enhance traveler experiences and engagement. - **Wearable Technology:** The wearable technology industry can explore opportunities to create more devices like the Cricket travel guide for various applications. - **Social Media and Technology:** The social media and technology industry can take advantage of the sharing and personalization features of the Cricket travel guide to further enhance user experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gamified Travel Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/countryquest.md) - [All-in-One GPS Guide Wearables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-gps-guide.md) - [Digital Travel Guides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-guide-it.md) - [City Travel Guides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waywise.md) - [Smart City Exploration Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/purrwalk.md) - [Screen-Free Wandering Navigation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screenfree-wandering.md) - [Haptic Navigation Wristbands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haptic-navigation-wristband.md) - [AI-Powered Adventure Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/globe-chaser.md) - [Haptic Stone-Like Compasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terra-compass.md)
