The artist's [anatomical chopping boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himalaya-pelvis-chair) are unlike anything I've ever seen in my kitchen. The boards come in two varieties, suspiciously titled 'Husband' and 'Better half.' The volcanic, imaginative artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz was born in Chile, raised in London and is currently based in New York City. He is officially selected as one of the top emerging designers by I.D magazine. Ultimately, these are functioning, standard [cutting boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epicurean-bbq-board) with a peculiar print on a traditional object; they remind me of the old, classic Operation board game. Just add a knife on the chopping board and you’ll get the perfect crime scene. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Anatomical Kitchen Accessories:** An opportunity to create a new line of anatomical kitchen accessories that appeal to consumers looking for unique and interesting products. - **Functional Art:** An opportunity to explore other everyday objects that could be transformed into functional art pieces. - **Kitchen Gadgets:** An opportunity to create more interesting and eye-catching kitchen gadgets that stand out from traditional designs. ### Where This Applies - **Kitchenware:** A chance for the kitchenware industry to capitalize on the trend of unique and creative designs for everyday objects. - **Home Decor:** An opportunity for the home decor industry to expand into functional pieces of art beyond just aesthetic value. - **Art and Design:** A chance for the art and design industry to innovate and create interesting products that appeal to consumers looking for unique and unconventional pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latticeboard-multipurpose-kitchen-board.md) - [High-Performance Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-steelport-steelcore.md) - [Portable Knife-Equipped Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baca-board.md) - [Multifunctional Serving Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/convertible-serving-board-trio.md) - [Intricate Wooden Serving Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-serving-board.md) - [Intelligent Preparation Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4t7-smart-chopping-board.md) - [Design-Conscious Butcher Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-prep-serve-butcher-block.md) - [Minimalist Preparation Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mudra-cutting-board.md) - [Ultra-Slick Minimalist Knife Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-knife-block.md)
