This colorfully morbid and [creepy art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deddy-bears) is by [Japanese artist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1) Korehiko Hino. He depicts sickly inanimate facial expressions on the youth portraits that he paints.

He uses extremely stunning coloring for his work and combines it with the [asylum-like subject matter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uniqlo-and-junji-ito). The signature eyes in all of his paintings give the portraits a zombified and desperately depressing outlook.

He also uses a lot of raw imagery such as meat and bloody taxidermy throughout his work. His arguably most disturbing one is of a child's face (or lack thereof) that looks absolutely destroyed, forefronting a gorgeous floral background. This horrifyingly morbid body of work is stunningly well-painted and undoubtedly unsettling.

Korehiko Hino is brilliant in his technique of combining oppositional moods in his pieces.
