On display at at Suru in Los Angeles, this ghastly installation features an authentic Irish coffin containing the skeleton of a man clutching a bottle of whisky and a can of spray paint. As if that wasn’t creepy enough, also included in this nightmare scene are two massive live pythons slithering all over the coffin, with a semi-naked model sharing their enclosure. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Nightmare Art:** Opportunity for artists to explore the realm of nightmares and create unsettling art installations. - **Dream Interpretation:** Potential for experts in psychology and symbolism to analyze and interpret the dreams depicted in art installations. - **Immersive Experiences:** Demand for interactive installations that transport viewers into the surreal world of dreams and nightmares. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Sculpture:** Artists, sculptors, and designers can create unique and provocative installations that focus on dreams and nightmares. - **Psychology and Therapy:** Psychologists and therapists can offer services to interpret and analyze the symbolic meaning behind nightmares depicted in art. - **Entertainment and Events:** Event planners and experience creators can incorporate immersive nightmare-themed installations to offer captivating and memorable experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Kaleidoscopic Dream Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamachine.md) - [Site Specific Mixed-Media Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamsphere.md) - [Abstract Fantasy Home Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abstract-fantasy-home.md) - [Horror-Themed Overnight Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warner-bros-icons-of-horror.md) - [Surreal Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jeffrey-deitch-art-gallery.md) - [Forgotten Theme-Park Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forgotten-fantasy.md) - [Wooden Light-Hearted Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-sculpture.md) - [Horror Film Fragrances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-scent-of-a-nightmare.md) - [Haunting Film-Based Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deetz-residence.md)
