Regular credit card design makes it almost impossible to pick a credit card up off [a flat surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinch-hold). Anyone who's had the misfortune to lay their credit card down on a damp tabletop knows that it results in a ton of frustration, a lot of embarrassing sliding around and minutes spent wishing you had Lana del Rey-style fake nails.

Designer Li Wenkai wants to change that with a [new credit card design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platinum-card). Her improved credit card features a small bump and depression on one side of the card, so that it stands up just slightly from any flat surface it's left on. The [credit card design places](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/card-preview) the added textural features in a spot where they don't affect the magnetic swipe or chip of the credit card.

It's a tiny innovation that could have a major impact on daily life.
