# Vessel-Filled Cabinets The Credenza O by Jib Design Studio is Inspired by Indoor Gardens By Meghan Young | Published 2012-09-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/credenza-o References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/credenza-o-console-o-oak-storage-pieces-by-jib-design-studio/) & [jibds](http://www.jibds.com/credenza_o) The Credenza O cabinet is may resemble a familiar piece of furniture, but it has been slightly tweaked to create a unique addition to the home. In place of a typical surface, it has been hollowed slightly to allow a slew of [ceramic vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourd-project) to lay inside. Great for plants or for storage of inanimate objects, the Credenza O cabinet is a visually striking, if in a minimalist way. Designed by London-based JiB design studio, which is headed by Je-Uk Kim, the Credenza O cabinet was inspired by the idea of an [indoor garden](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive). With pots made by ceramist Sun Kim, the top of the storage unit is as decorative as it is practical. Presented at 100% Design in London, England, the Credenza O cabinet was joined by [Console O](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-house), which is almost like a smaller version. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Vessel-filled Cabinets:** Opportunity for home furniture manufacturers and designers to incorporate unique storage solutions that integrate indoor gardens or decorative vessels. - **Indoor Gardens:** Opportunity to create innovative indoor garden designs that blend functionality with visual appeal, providing a refreshing and natural touch to interior spaces. - **Ceramic Vessels:** Opportunity for ceramists and artisans to create bespoke ceramic vessels that can be incorporated into furniture pieces, offering a customizable and artisanal touch. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Furniture:** Home furniture manufacturers can explore the creation of vessel-filled cabinets that offer a unique storage solution and decorative element to consumers. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate vessel-filled cabinets into their designs to add a touch of nature and creativity to residential and commercial spaces. - **Ceramics:** Ceramics industry professionals can capitalize on the demand for unique ceramic vessels that can be used as decorative elements in furniture pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Forest-Inspired Wooden Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hayashi-cabinet.md) - [Stealthy Home Furnishing Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/credo-collection.md) - [Cannabis-Friendly Modern Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/high-bar.md) - [Cabinet-Concealed Modern Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/obelisk-3.md) - [Minimalist Cannabis Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alter-interiors.md) - [Miniature Sanitized Cabinet Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yujin-lee.md) - [Modular Configured Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet.md) - [Stylish Oakwood Storage Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moose-cabinet.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Packed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/embrace-sideboard.md)
