# Dome-Intergated Murals ROA's Creative Street Art Makes Use of Structures with Domes By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2014-09-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-street-art References: [thisiscolossal](http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2014/08/fun-new-murals-by-roa-take-advantage-of-tunisias-domed-architecture/) & [djerbahood](http://www.djerbahood.com/portfolio/roa/) As part of [Galerie Itinerrance’s](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-homeware-shop) Djerbahood open air museum project in Tunisia, Belgian street artist [ROA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winter-collection-2) set up some creative street art that incorporates interesting architectural details like domes into the works of art. Rather than painting strictly on a flat surface, these street art creations are strategically placed so that the tops of domes form the [tops of eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humansized-egg-installation), skulls and the bodies of jellyfish. To fully appreciate these incredible works of street art, since they include a mix of both 2D and 3D surfaces, viewers are required to stand and look at the street paintings from a very specific viewpoint. Walking through Djerba and stumbling upon these paintings would be way more interesting than being cooped up in a museum. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Graffiti](https://www.trendhunter.com/graffiti) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Integrated Street Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore ways to integrate street art with architectural elements to create immersive and interactive experiences. - **Multidimensional Murals:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experiment with combining 2D and 3D elements in murals to create captivating and unique artworks. - **Location-specific Viewing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop augmented reality (AR) or mobile app solutions that enhance the viewing experience of street art by guiding viewers to specific viewpoints. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Street Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with street artists to incorporate architectural elements into their works and offer unique art experiences. - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate street art into architectural designs to create visually stunning and interactive spaces. - **Augmented Reality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop AR solutions that overlay digital content onto street art, enhancing the viewing experience and providing interactive elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Street Art-Inspired Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/met-rooftop.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Bubblegum Street Art Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hubbabubbabuilding.md) - [Street Art Metaverses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frieze-los-angeles.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Paper-Like Art Museum Roofs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-for-paper-art.md) - [Neon Illustation-Donned Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crafted-world-exhibition-1.md) - [Evolved Vibrant Graffiti Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jan-kalb.md) - [Paper-Inspired Artful Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-for-papirkunst.md)
