# Achromatic Photography Apps Lenka's Creative Photography App Goes Back to Photo Basics By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2014-11-12 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-photography-app References: [techcrunch](http://techcrunch.com/2014/06/24/lenka-might-be-the-black-and-white-photographers-dream-app/) & [getlenka](http://getlenka.com/) This [creative photography app](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersity-app) from Lenka features filters that are above and beyond what you'll find on your favorite [photo-sharing apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/binsoo). Naturally, this comes with a price tag of $2.99, but what this will give you is a unique image processing software with [automatic exposure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aipowered-photo). The app was developed with the capabilities of the iPhone 5 in mind, although it can be used on any iPhone just as well. Rather than offering tons of fancy filters, the app only shoots in black and white and the only adjustments that you can make include adding contrast to the image. On top of this, the use of flash is disabled for this camera app, so there's no possibility of taking an embarrassingly bright shot or catching someone with red eyes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Achromatic Photography Apps:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop a photography app that offers unique filters and automatic exposure, catering to the demand for creative and high-quality black and white photography. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Mobile App Development:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Create innovative camera apps with limited features like shooting in black and white and disabling flash, catering to the growing demand for unique and specialized photography experiences. - **Photography Equipment Manufacturing:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Design and manufacture specialized photography equipment compatible with creative photography apps that focus on black and white photography, offering unique features like automatic exposure and contrast adjustments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Raw Mobile Photo Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/process-zero.md) - [Power-Unlocking Camera Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/photon-camera-app.md) - [Proprietary Smartphone Camera Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/final-cut-camera-app.md) - [Photographer-Inspired Photo Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leica-lux-app.md) - [Mobile Editing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mattebox.md) - [Sleek Analog Film Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lomoapparat.md) - [Vintage Photo Camera Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodcamera.md) - [Real Time Film Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vsco-capture.md) - [Elevated Virtual Photography Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neural-telephoto.md)
