The cube is outfitted with nine holes for [storing colored pencils or crayons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuff-pencil-cabinet) along with a cup holder on the top for securing a glass for washing paintbrushes during art sessions. The unit can be used in different orientations and comes in four finish colors to choose from. The 'Creative Cube' is the design work of Architect Mum who explained the inspiration for the product further saying, "After she had painted, it was a hassle for her to tidy up the pens, too…when she was painting with water, it also happened quite often that the water glass tipped over in the creative process. I knew we needed a [pen holder](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firki) that would solve our problems, but I didn’t want a plastic red ladybug in our home." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Desk Organization:** The 'Creative Cube' is a simple yet innovative addition to desk organization that can potentially disrupt the stationery industry. - **Artistic Productivity:** The 'Creative Cube' is an opportunity for a disruptive innovation in the art supplies market, as it addresses a common issue faced by young artists and can enhance their productivity. - **Sustainable Design:** The 'Creative Cube' can lead to a trend of sustainable design in the home and office space, and open up new opportunities for eco-friendly stationery products. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Stationery:** The 'Creative Cube' can disrupt the stationery industry by providing a practical and stylish solution to enhance desk organization. - **Art Supplies:** The 'Creative Cube' has the potential to disrupt the traditional art supplies market by providing a unique and functional product for young artists. - **Home Accessories:** The 'Creative Cube' resonates with the trend towards functional and aesthetically-pleasing home accessories, presenting an opportunity for the home decor industry to offer similar innovative products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multipurpose Workstation Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-wooden-cubic-pot.md) - [Adaptable Organizer Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-square-organizer.md) - [Stackable Tower Workstation Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyl-desk-organizer.md) - [Imaginative Pared-Back Art Supplies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woset.md) - [Carved Timber Workstation Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organization-kit.md) - [Modular Bin Organizer Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/binganizer.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Sculptural Geometric Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kiir.md) - [Dedicated Student Storage Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kids-furniture-design.md)
