# Utterly Abstract Vessels The Crawl Container Has an Eccentric Underside of Many Pointed Supports By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-01-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crawl-container References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/finell-fine-home-decor-everyday-lifestyles/) & [finell.co](http://www.finell.co/products/crawl-silicone-vessel) You might be inclined not to store anything too valuable inside of the Crawl Container, for it looks as though it might just scurry away. This whimsical pot is elevated on nearly a dozen spiky legs that give it a curious and quite insectile appearance. The Finell Co. bowl holds its idiosyncratic shape quite well, so you might not guess that it's made from soft and flexible silicone material. Because of this, it's unbreakable and easy to clean and accommodating for all sorts of contents. The vaguely egg-shaped Crawl Container comes in white, gray and black; its obscure sculptural composition gets plenty of attention without a bold color. It comes with a domed lid to conceal your possessions and round out its bulbous alienesque body. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Whimsical Design:** Opportunity for creating quirky and unconventional products that stand out and capture attention. - **Flexible Materials:** Potential to develop unbreakable and versatile items using soft and flexible materials. - **Obscure Sculptural Composition:** Space for designing unique and abstract forms that stimulate curiosity and intrigue. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore whimsical designs to offer unique and eye-catching products for consumers looking to add personality to their spaces. - **Kitchenware:** The kitchenware industry can leverage flexible materials to create unbreakable and easy-to-use products that enhance convenience and durability for its customers. - **Art and Sculpture:** The art and sculpture industry can embrace obscure sculptural compositions to create captivating and thought-provoking artworks that push the boundaries of traditional aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unusual Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-brown-paper-bag-vase.md) - [Sculpted Utilitarian Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pot-variations.md) - [Eco-Friendly Organized Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tronco.md) - [Experimental Pottery Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourd-project.md) - [Malleable Construction Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delione-flexn-fresh-container.md) - [Ceramic Storage Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keep-collection.md) - [Multifunctional Glass Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-food-container.md) - [Whimsical Storage Baskets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-mushroom-woven-basket.md) - [Hourglass-Shaped Kitchen Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grains-of-time.md)
