Mimicking the percussion instrument's look in both size, texture and material, it could easily be mistaken for the real deal, simply tweaked to hold a bulb and shed some much-needed light in living spaces. Created for [Diesel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cross-pendant-lamp), Crash & Bell by Foscarini is comprised of two styles. The first is a classic disc shape that really brings to mind the rock and roll band staple while the second one has been manipulated into a domed shape for more directional lighting. Sleek and chic, Psfk points out that "unfortunately you won’t get the same sonic effects when you hit these with a drumstick." But that probably won't stop people from trying. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Musical-inspired Lighting:** Designers are creating light fixtures inspired by musical instruments, offering a unique and artistic way to illuminate spaces. - **Realistic Design Replicas:** Artists are incorporating lifelike textures and materials into their designs, blurring the line between functionality and artistic expression. - **Directional Lighting Innovations:** Developers are exploring new forms and shapes for light fixtures to provide more focused and customizable lighting options for various environments. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can utilize these musical-inspired light fixtures to offer clients unique and visually stunning lighting solutions. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can incorporate these realistic replicas of musical instruments into their product offerings, appealing to music enthusiasts and adding a touch of artistic flair to living spaces. - **Lighting Technology:** The lighting technology industry can explore and develop innovative ways to provide directional lighting options, enhancing the versatility and functionality of light fixtures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Orchestral-Themed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/symphony-collection.md) - [Instrument-Inspired Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-collection-by-sara-schoenberger.md) - [Synergy-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doppler-series.md) - [80s-Inspired Ceramic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flaming-stars.md) - [Music-Inspired Glass Blown Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miles-pendant.md) - [Sculptural Acoustic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/echoes-of-the-deep.md) - [Disco Light-Replicating Illuminaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flasher.md) - [Oversized Pen Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bic-lamp.md) - [Rippling Aquatic Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pulse-lights.md)
