London design studio David Kohn Architects creates the Cowshed located in Newton Abbot, UK. It is a house and studio that was once an [agricultural building on a dairy farm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bulls-barn). It is the last building to be updated as a part of the Middle Rocombe Farm transformation.

This was owned by [artist Suzanne Blank Redstone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alan-prekop-studio) and her husband since the 70s. The two converted the location to a housing community with the goal of "working in an isolated rural location surrounded by a mix of families." Project architect Jennifer Dyne explains to [Dezeen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farmworkers-house)", "They sought a home that would enable them to 'live in the light and the landscape', but that would still respect the original humble shed, whilst creating a future-proof accessible home.
