# Covert Keyhole Mirrors The Egg Hides Conceals Cluttered Collections of Openers in Your Foyer By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-01-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/covert-keyhole-mirror References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/mirror-can-hide-secret-cabinet-behind/) & [rizz.nl](http://www.rizz.nl/portfolio/mirror-the-egg/) It's one thing to leave your wallet, keys and phone out and handy, but organizationally speaking, this covert keyhole mirror would greatly improve the atmosphere of your general front door area. Multiple-occupant homes – especially with multiple cars – tend to built up untidy piles of keychains and even loose unlocking implements. The Egg Mirror was designed specifically to hide this metal mess and to ensure that you can easily locate the particular set you're looking for. For RiZZ, Teun Fleskens created a droplet-shaped shelf with tiny hidden cubbies and hooks inside. To cover this, a round reflector pivots freely in front, giving a second and more obvious purpose to this compact decorative object. A household of any size can benefit from dual-function furnishings, and this covert keyhole mirror cabinet affords utility on a versatile scale with various frame options. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Covert Keyhole Storage:** Opportunities for designing furniture with hidden storage spaces that provide both functionality and aesthetics. - **Multi-purpose Decor:** Designing decorative objects that also serve a functional purpose by including hidden storage or other features. - **Innovative Organizational Solutions:** Developing creative solutions to help households organize their belongings in a more efficient and visually pleasing way. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Designing furniture with hidden storage options to maximize space and provide a non-intrusive organizational solution. - **Interior Design:** Providing multi-purpose decorative objects to enhance the overall aesthetic of the space while also serving a functional purpose. - **Home Organization:** Creating innovative products and services to keep household belongings organized in an efficient and visually pleasing manner. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bifold Functional Storage Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabine-mirror.md) - [Space-Saving Garment Care Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-dualfunction-ironing-board-mirror.md) - [Curvaceous Shelf-Paired Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-mirror.md) - [Welcome Gift Design Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earths-hatch-kit.md) - [Illusory Doorway Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panis-mirror.md) - [Mirrored Freestanding Storage Closets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cayman-storage-mirror.md) - [EDC Knife Display Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holme-hadfield-knife-deck.md) - [Optical Illusion Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hooptical.md) - [Makeup-Hiding Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elfs-cosmetic-security-line.md)
