The couple has been bee-keeping for the last 25 years and thought having a [bee swarm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shannan-beehive-observation-cabin) would be fitting for their wedding. The couple was able to attract the bees by planting a [queen bee](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifloral-honey) in each of their clothing, which was followed by a mass swarming. “It was an amazing feeling to have a carpet of living bees moving over my body. I could feel them as they moved around — it was amazing,” says new Bride Yan Hongxia. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/weddings) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Beekeeping Weddings:** Creating unique and memorable wedding experiences by incorporating beekeeping activities and swarms of bees. - **Extreme Wedding Experiences:** Pushing the boundaries of traditional weddings by embracing daring and unconventional activities, such as being covered in bees. - **Nature-inspired Ceremonies:** Infusing weddings with the natural world, allowing couples to connect with nature through unconventional elements like bee swarms. ### Where This Applies - **Wedding Planning:** Opportunity for wedding planners to offer unique and unconventional experiences, catering to adventurous couples who want truly one-of-a-kind weddings. - **Beekeeping:** Innovation potential for the beekeeping industry to create specialized services and products for bee-themed weddings, such as bee suits designed for wedding ceremonies. - **Event Photography:** Chance for event photographers to specialize in capturing extreme and unconventional wedding experiences, attracting couples who desire extraordinary and memorable wedding photos. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dating App Wedding Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bumble-wedding-collection.md) - [Dip-Themed Wedding Ceremonies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dip-themed-wedding.md) - [Pop-Up Outdoor Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chaco-wedding.md) - [Wedding Fashion Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shein-love-chapel.md) - [Bug-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/murder-hornet-ring.md) - [Iconically Located Wedding Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/times-square-this-valentines.md) - [Inclusive NFT Marriages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/closeup-city-hall.md) - [Stranger Wedding Marketplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invitin.md) - [Beer-Branded Wedding Dresses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/busch-light-and-davids-brida.md)
