# Digital Cottage Designs 'Jutland' Depicts Fanciful Homes Using 3D Renderings By Joey Haar | Published 2016-07-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cottage-designs References: [fubiz.net](http://www.fubiz.net/en/2016/07/18/superb-digital-models-of-scandinavian-summer-homes/?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=webfeeds) & [santizoraidez](http://santizoraidez.com/) Though the actual purchase of a cottage may be out of the question for some consumers, these 3D cottage designs let less wealthy viewers imagine what it might be like to own a dream lodge. 'Jutland,' a design project by Argentinian-born, Berlin-based Santi Zoraidez, depicts summer homes that range from realistically beautiful to patently absurd. According to the artist, the cottage designs are based on [Scandinavian summer houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sommarhus-e) and the Nordic school of architecture. That inspiration is readily apparent when looking at the images in the Jutland series, with their sharp, stark lines punctuated by precise, [asymmetrical geometric shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yoohome) and their pale, pine-colored hues placed in front of overcast scenery. Though none of these designs exist outside of their 3D-rendered frames (and indeed, some of them simply couldn't at all, such as the triangle hanging off of a cliff), these cottage designs may inspire those with the means to take creative risks when building second homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **3D Cottage Designs:** Creating 3D-rendered cottage designs enables consumers to visualize and explore their dream homes before making a purchase. - **Scandinavian Architecture Influences:** The use of Scandinavian summer houses and Nordic school of architecture in cottage designs offers a unique and modern aesthetic for homeowners. - **Creative Home Building:** The concept of extravagant and unconventional cottage designs encourages individuals to take creative risks in constructing second homes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architectural Visualization:** The rise of 3D rendering technology in cottage designs opens up opportunities for professionals in architectural visualization to provide realistic representations of future homes. - **Home Construction:** The influence of Scandinavian architecture in cottage designs presents an opportunity for the home construction industry to cater to the increasing demand for modern and unique residential designs. - **Luxury Real Estate:** Innovative and visually striking cottage designs can attract affluent buyers who seek exclusive and unconventional properties in the luxury real estate market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reisdential Cottage Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/borova-lada-cottage.md) - [Countryside Woodland Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aralar-cottage.md) - [Tranquil Cozy Canadian Cottages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/white-rock-cottage.md) - [Farmland-Inspired Rural Hotel Cottages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ningshan-luzhai-cottages.md) - [Juxtaposing Retro Cottage Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drew-mandel-architects.md) - [Contemporary Countryside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-countryside-home.md) - [Stone Cottage Renos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hameart-project.md) - [Wedge-Shaped Stealthy Cottages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbora-vokac-taylor-architect.md) - [Intimate High-Altitude Cottages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/altihut.md)
