Imagine a zoo that is a high-rise tower. Now imagine that the tower is a waterfall. Got the image? That is the Costanera Sur, which is a proposal for a [vertical zoo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reserve-hotel) in Buenos Aires. The Costanera Sur, designed by Visiondivision, was conceived with the aim of transforming rubble from old highways into a a pillar of falling water that would be home to various animals.

Meant to be entirely self-sufficient, the Costanera Sur would use water from a nearby river to pump through the building in order to create a [rooftop pool and waterfall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aquapraa) (that would be home to the zoo's dolphins) cascading over the sides of the building. [Monkeys and birds would roam free](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-traffic-control-tower) in the Costanera Sur building, while other animals would be contained on separate floors in their appropriate habitats.
