# Invisible Outdoor Illuminators The Corte Light Reflects the Lawn on Either Side for a Subtle Image By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-03-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corte-light References: [estudiarola](http://www.estudiarola.com/en/entry/corte) The installation of Corte Lights would certainly not introduce the cluttered look to your yard that many [outdoor lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-solvinden-floor-lamp) do. This is thanks to the use of [mirrored steel material](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape) on both sides of the slender fixture, designed to reflect the grass, the garden and the patio with perfect clarity. Antoni Arola took formal inspiration from the hardcover book, creating rectangular objects with sandwiched faces that connect continuously around one smooth spine-like edge. The bright white glow escapes from the other three edges of the lawn light for a directional source that can can deliver soft, indirect and diffuse illumination. A [post mounting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-lamp-post-light) to one side of the Corte Lights enables them to pivot 350 degrees, allowing adaptable arrangement for aesthetic and practical purposes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Mirrored Materials:** The use of mirrored steel material in the Corte light creates disruption in outdoor lighting by offering a subtle image instead of a cluttered look. - **Directional Illumination:** The Corte light's ability to deliver soft, indirect and diffuse illumination offers disruptive innovation opportunities in the outdoor lighting industry. - **Adjustable Arrangement:** The Corte light's 350 degree pivot ability provides disruption in the outdoor lighting industry for adaptable arrangement for aesthetic and practical purposes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Lighting:** The Corte light introduces disruptive innovation opportunities in the outdoor lighting industry by offering a subtle image, directional illumination, and adjustable arrangement. - **Home Decor:** Mirrored materials as seen in the Corte light have the potential to disrupt the home decor industry by offering unique and playful decorative pieces. - **Architecture and Design:** The Corte light's formal inspiration from the hardcover book opens disruptive innovation opportunities in the architecture and design industry for creative and functional designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Outdoor Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lodes-1.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Outdoor Light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinno.md) - [Sculptural Outdoor Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solae.md) - [Light Pollution-Reducing Island Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/island-lamp.md) - [Forest Lantern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iside-home.md) - [Opulent Outdoor Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gubi-seine-portable-lamp.md) - [Modernized Lantern Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ambientec-madco.md) - [Emotional Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection.md) - [Glass-Reflective Illuminated Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invisible-house.md)
