Upon closer inspection, however, people will come to realize there there is more than meets the eye. The pattern is actually made up of cords that have been handwoven like the lace of a corset around each side of the square, hence its name. Created by Canadian based design studio Arbutus+Denman, the Corset Wall Tiles not only adds a nice touch of [pattern to a living space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fashionable-wall-coverings), but texture and shadows as well. By introducing a layer of depth to a wall, the tiles are like an [installation of art for the home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kriskadecor-1). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Handwoven Wall Coverings:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation by incorporating unique handcrafted elements into traditional wall tiles. - **Textured Wall Tiles:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to introduce tactile elements and create a multidimensional wall design. - **Artistic Wall Installations:** Opportunity to transform walls into a statement piece with intricate patterns and shadows. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation potential in the interior design industry by creating visually engaging and textured wall coverings. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by offering unique and artistic wall tiles. - **Handcrafted Products:** Disruptive innovation opportunity in the handcrafted products industry by incorporating traditional craftsmanship into modern wall coverings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Interchangeable Wall Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abyss-wall.md) - [Waffle-Like Patterned Ceramic Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubik.md) - [Sculpted Pattern Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/osso-bottone.md) - [Texturized Decorative Wall Panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decorative-wall-panels.md) - [Textural Wallcovering Technologies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallcovering-technology.md) - [Terracotta-Inspired Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grounded-exhibtion.md) - [Functional Streamlined Ceramic Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uu-tiles-collection.md) - [Mix-and-Match Wall Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mixandmatch-wall-tile.md) - [Fashionable Wall Coverings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fashionable-wall-coverings.md)
