Mark Langan's [corrugated cardboard sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-airplane) are true biodegradable art pieces. The cardboard is sourced from Langan's neighborhood in Brunswick Hills, Ohio. Langan's first piece was titled 'Max & Lori's Move' and used his neighbors' discarded moving boxes.

Mark Langan doesn't render his designs on a computer, sketching them by hand instead. This self-taught artisan took up working with cardboard after he was laid off from his desk job.

**Implications** - As eco consciousness increases, artists are continuously incorporating [recyclable materials into their work](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/by-osmosis). This green art generates buzz in a green-obsessed world, but also furthers a popular artist goal: to transform something seemingly old and unusable into something new and exciting. The drive towards environmental friendliness has impacted virtually every industry, and the art world is no exception.
