Available through the end of May, the pie features a hot water crust pastry filled with seasoned pork for a delicious profile that's perfect for entertaining or on its own when watching the event itself. The pie is priced at £2.20 for a 295-gram serving and comes packaged in a Union Jack-covered wrapper to further enhance the patriotic nature of the product. The pie features 100% British pork ingredients. Brand Director Jason Manley spoke on the Pork Farms Coronation Pork Pie saying, "The British favourite will easily be the crown jewel in any Coronation Weekend meal, and is perfect for afternoon teas, picnics, and ploughman’s boards. Established in 1931, we’re a brand that’s extremely proud of its British heritage and relies solely on British pork, so celebrating the coronation with the release of this limited-edition pork pie was the natural choice." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 15% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Limited-edition Food Items:** A trend towards creating limited-edition food items for special occasions presents opportunities for food and beverage companies to capitalize on seasonal and event-based marketing. - **Patriotic Packaging:** A trend towards using patriotic packaging for food and beverage products presents opportunities for brands to enhance their customers' emotional connection and sense of national pride towards the product. - **Event-specific Products:** A trend towards creating event-specific products presents an opportunity for brands to capitalize on temporary spikes in demand and generate buzz around special occasions. ### Where This Applies - **Food and Beverage:** The food and beverage industry can leverage limited-edition products and patriotic packaging to capture the attention of consumers and increase sales around cultural events. - **Marketing and Advertising:** The marketing and advertising industry can offer creative services to brands that want to develop event-specific products and packaging to stand out in a crowded marketplace. - **Packaging and Labeling:** The packaging and labeling industry can develop innovative design concepts for brands looking to create limited-edition products that celebrate special events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Savory Apple Pork Pies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hog-roast-apple-pork-pie.md) - [Summertime Barbecue Pork Pies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bbq-medium-pork-pie.md) - [Celebratory Frozen Pie Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hollands-pies.md) - [Cheesy Pickle Pork Pies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-ploughmans-pork-pies.md) - [Coronation-Themed British Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-eat-1.md) - [Regional Mini Pork Pies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-melton-mowbray-pork-pies.md) - [Comforting Plant-Based Pork Pies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porkless-pies.md) - [Luxe King-Honoring Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coronation-cake.md) - [Celebratory Coronation Housewares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kings-coronation-products.md)
